We are seeking an Backend Intern with a strong background in developing backend applications using Python, Express and bash scripting, along with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Express.js, Python, and bash scripting languages.
- Implement security measures and best practices to protect against potential vulnerabilities and threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.
- Assist in the design and implementation of secure API endpoints and authentication mechanisms.
- Monitor and analyze system logs and events to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security concerns and implement necessary improvements.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong experience in developing backend applications using Express, Python, and bash scripting along with Docker.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, concepts, tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with web application security, network security, and secure coding practices.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Understanding of RESTful architecture, API development, and web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS).
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
