About the Internship

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Develop and implement social media strategies to align with business goals
2. Create, curate, and manage engaging content across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
3. Monitor and respond to user interactions, comments, and messages promptly
4. Analyze social media metrics and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
5. Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure brand consistency and effective messaging
6. Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid advertising, to drive user acquisition and retention
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices
8. Monitor and report on competitor activity and industry trends
9. Manage and grow the social media community, fostering positive engagement and brand loyalty

Requirements:

1. Bachelor s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
2. Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
3. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
4. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
5. Ability to create visually appealing content using graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media data and metrics
7. Strong organizational and time-management skills
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Creative thinker with a passion for staying ahead of social media trends

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in the news or media industry.
Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout – Social, Google Analytics).
Experience with influencer marketing and community management.
