About Govt of India Internship Opportunities

Opportunities for internships in the Department of Legal Affairs, NITI Aayog, and DigiLocker have been provided by the Government of India. A government department or organization internship exposes you to a dynamic work atmosphere that can be quite beneficial for later on in creating a successful career. These internship options will enable students to make use of their spare time and carry out useful tasks. The interns will receive a certificate and a stipend after finishing their internship (variable with internships).

A list of all the available internships that are provided by the Govt of India & its affiliated bodies is described below:-

  • Department of Legal Affairs-Indian students in their second and third years of a three-year degree, in their third to fifth years of a five-year curriculum, and students who have finished their LLB curriculum at any accredited college, law school, or university are all eligible to apply for this internship. For this month-long internship, around 20 to 30 students will be chosen. Candidates should be advised that this internship is a full-time commitment that must be physically attended to and that they are not allowed to work or enroll in any other classes during their internship. The Department of Legal Affairs has committed to providing these internships to give students the skills and information they need to strengthen their engagement in fields of research and referencing. Additionally, these internships will help in the provision of legal counsel in several specialized areas of law. Students who complete the internship successfully will also earn a diploma and INR 5,000 in compensation. Application documents must be submitted online at the DLA’s main website.   • DigiLocker-The Indian government’s digital initiative, DigiLocker, provides internships to students from a range of professions. The intern must be adaptable and finish the assignment provided on time, per the official rules. The availability of internships is determined by business needs throughout each internship term. Internships are available in development and operations (for example, Product Management, UI UX Development, Front End Development, Database Management, Blockchain, and so on), as well as security researcher/testing, content writing, front-end development, UI/UX, graphic designer, product management, blockchain, database management, and IOS development. The internship period will be at least six months long. Students should be aware that this internship is unpaid but they will earn an internship certificate if they complete it successfully.   • National Museum Of India-Applying for research-focused internships at the National Museum is open to students in graduate and undergraduate programs from any organization who are eager to delve into the collection, learn about museum operations, and develop their professional networks. Anthropology, Central Asian Antiquities, Archaeology, Conservation, Arms and Armours, Display, Education, Exhibition, Library, Manuscripts, Outreach, Modeling, Numismatics, Painting, Pre-Columbian Western Arts, Photography, and Prehistoric Archaeology are a few of the departments that provide internships. The internships will last for a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks. Students may still apply for winter internships before the deadline of 30 November 2022, even though the summer internship application period has ended.   • NITI Aayog-The Govt of India’s policy-thinking organization is called NITI Aayog. The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme is open to undergraduate, graduate, and research scholars enrolled in accredited Indian and international colleges and institutions. Students will have the chance to gain experience in a variety of fields through this internship, including, but not limited to, agriculture, data management and analysis, economics, education, human resource development, the energy industry, foreign trade/commerce, mining, tourism, sports, and youth development. Students will find the internship to be beneficial for their future even though it is unpaid. There will be a minimum of six weeks and a maximum of six months for the internship.
